The name

Two ways to read the name.

markdown + up
Your notes are plain markdown. The up is the server: always on, doing the filing. Write a .md file and save it; markupp serves it back indexed, linked and grouped.
omakase
At a sushi counter, omakase means “I leave it up to you”: you trust the chef with the menu. Omarchy borrowed the idea for Arch Linux. In markupp you leave the filing to us. No folders to design, no tags to maintain: the server stores every note, links it to the related ones, groups them into communities and keeps it all searchable, for you and your agents.

お任せYou bring the ingredients. We run the kitchen.

Why markupp

Stop filing notes. Start finding answers.

Most note apps make you the librarian. markupp moves that work to the server, so every client, human or agent, sees the same organized knowledge.

Ecosystem

One server, every client.

The server does the organizing, so every client sees the same notes, links and communities. Use the web panel, your terminal, your editor or your AI agents, all against the same API.

browser

Web panel

Write and read notes side by side, search by meaning, and explore the graph and the communities the server found.

editor
The markupp panel with a markdown note in the editor and its rendered preview side by side.
graph
The graph view of the panel, with notes as colored nodes grouped into communities.
search
The panel search listing notes that match a question, with the matching passage under each one.
links
The links of a note in the panel: outgoing links, backlinks and unlinked mentions.

agents

MCP server

Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client with OAuth. Agents search, read and write notes with your permissions.

connect
The panel page that shows the command to connect Claude Code to the markupp MCP server.
public mcp
A terminal calling the public MCP tools of a published vault and printing the notes it returned.

terminal

mu

The command line client. A K9s-style TUI for people, and plain text, JSON or NDJSON subcommands for scripts and agents.

Source on GitHub
mu tui
The mu terminal interface listing the notes of a vault in a sortable table.
mu notes search
A terminal running mu vaults list and mu notes search with their text output.

editor

Agents via MCP

Your agents remember what your team knows.

markupp is AI first. Any operation available to a person is available to an agent through the same interface, so your coding assistant can look up a decision before it writes code and record a new one after.

  • Remote MCP server with OAuth, one command to connect
  • Search, read, create and edit notes with your permissions
  • Readers and agents never count as paid seats
terminal

$ claude mcp add --transport http markupp https://markupp.k8s.sj.ifsc.edu.br/mcp

Added HTTP MCP server markupp.
